10.16.07

October and November are always difficult for me.

Maybe it's the mid-term crunch, the impending doom of papers and finals, the change in the weather, the stress of long distance relationships, of old relationships, of newly re-defined relationships...who knows?

All I know is it's never easy and while I am doing my best to not fall victim to my autumn slump this year, it feels like I'm climbing up hill.

I tend to not want to blog or even write in my own personal journal because I don't want any of this mood recorded for posterity. So I apologize if posts are few and far between...I don't think you care about my "the days are getting shorter" grumpiness anyway. ;-) Haha!

I'm going to start working more hard core on my "Second Life religiosity" paper, so expect updates on that...I'm pretty excited. :-)

That little smile George gives when the crowd reacts to "Here Comes the Sun" at the concert for Bangladesh, despite the fact that he tries to hide it for just a moment at first ("you little sneek!") makes me think he truly believes the lyrics he's about to sing in that song. It's a rare moment of joy on George's face for just a few seconds before he gets back into performing, but it looks to me like he has a true peace in the knowledge that everything will be okay-- that the sun's coming out.

I desire the kind of happiness and peace for you. If there's anything I can do to help along the way, don't hesitate to let me know.

PS I can't wait to start hearing about that Second Life paper. It sounds like it'll be really interesting. :)

Hahaha, that George Harrison pirate video was classic! I've never seen that before. The "Sail the BBSea" line is priceless.

I also hadn't heard "Set on You" in years... possibly since the last time my dad played George's "Cloud Nine" album... on vinyl!
